2015-27 - One Night…

A man came to our house and told me, “There is a family with eight children. They have not eaten for days.”

I took some food and I went. When I finally came to the family, I saw the faces of those little children disfigured by hunger. There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces, just the deep pain of hunger. I gave the rice to the mother. She divided it in two, and went out, carrying half the rice with her.

When she came back, I asked her, “Where did you go?”

She gave me this simple answer, “To my neighbours - they are hungry also.”

I was not surprised that she gave - because poor people are generous. But I was surprised that she knew they were hungry. As a rule, when we are suffering, we are so focused on ourselves we have no time for others.

2015-26 - To Let Go

To let go does not mean to stop caring, it means I can't do it for someone else.

To let go is not to cut myself off, it's the realization I can't control another.

To let go is not to enable, but allow learning from natural consequences.

To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means  the outcome is not in my hands.

To let go is not to try to change or blame another, it's to make the most of myself.

To let go is not to care for, but to care about.

To let go is not to fix, but to be supportive.

To let go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.

To let go is not to be protective, it's to permit another to face reality.

To let go is not to deny, but to accept.

To let go is not to nag, scold or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct
them.

To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish
myself in it.

To let go is not to criticize or regulate anybody, but to try to become what I dream I can be.

To let go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.

To let go is to fear less and love more.

Remember: The time to love is short.

2015-25 - Change NOW…

When you were a kid, you had dreams... you wanted to be a Fire Fighter... an Actor... Spiderman!!! There were no limits to what you wanted to become.

What happens to our dreams, as we grow old? So many people around us say "NO"... that we get used to that "NO" and we let that word affect the way we think.

We let the people around us influence our decisions. We forget our goals and follow what we think everyone else wants from us.

What you have done up until now... up until 10 seconds ago... is GONE! You cannot change it! But what you can do... is change what you do as of Now... this minute... this second.

Let go of the past... think of who you want to become and don't let other people tell you otherwise. Keep focus and remember how driven and courageous you were as a kid... never forget that feeling.

2015-24 - I am sure...

there is one question every aspirant has in his mind – Can I make it? I would certainly say – it is a great question to start with, but please do not spend a single second on it once you enter the process. You don’t have much of a choice once you have entered, you have to believe that you can and any other answer as a choice would not be acceptable – not by me, but by yourself. You very well know that you can make it and that is exactly a reason why you took the decision in the first place. Like I said it is a great question if you are thinking of just entering, but once you enter – there are questions of human excellence you need to ask and you need to be very careful about them,

Your  questions can be a wide range, each varying in magnitude- right from which books to read, which institute to join, which notes to pick up and so on. While you are on it, may I suggest a few more questions – What is it that I have to do to clear it faster, what better can I do than yesterday, how can I improve my efficiency, How can I improve the quality of answer writing, how to improve the reading speed and so on. Ask actionable questions because those are the ones that are going to give you the results you need and the rest – you just need to take a call. You can ask all questions you want, but the real one being – Is it bringing out the excellence in you?

2015-23 - Play With the Pain!

I understand it sucks, I know it hurts to keep going on even when you feel the pain, to know that you have put in so much of hard work and the system keeps expecting more from you. I also understand that you would feel like giving up and giving in to the demands. But something we all probably need to remember is that there is no excuse whatsoever. You will have yourself to blame if you get through and yourself to blame if you don’t. People will sympathise you, try to be there for you and even help you but no one can face it for you.

Play through the pain, let it hurt, let it feel irritating.. Play Anyway! It is not about how smart you are, it is about how willing you are to take it all. (How smart do you have to be to achieve?)..

Success is not about how good you are or how smart you, it is about who you are, it is about your character and the definition as to who you are as a person..
